Go Green LACCD
We Can Make A Difference!
LACCD is committed to promoting sustainability. Our
goal is to integrate sustainable practices and principles across the
Colleges and into our daily lives.
We are accomplishing
sustainability through:
- A commitment to
Green buildings. New buildings are being built to LEED
certification requirements and existing buildings are being retrofitted for
maximum efficiency.
- A district-wide
recycling program is being implemented. Look for the blue bins on
your campus.
- A district-wide
sustainability committee is working to develop green curriculum.
The Los Angeles Community College District is over
200,000 strong and together, we can make “LA the Greenest Big City” and
LACCD the greenest community college district! Whether you are a
faculty or staff member, a student, or an individual living in Los
Angeles, we hope you will use this site to see how you hold the power to
make a difference.
