Dear DSM audience members:

On behalf of Larry Eisenberg and the Los Angeles Community College District, I would like to invite you to join us at the LACCD's Demand Side Management Conference on September 10-11, 2008.

The Los Angeles Community College District has embarked upon a Renewable Energy Program to replace existing fossil fuel based equipment on all campuses with a diversity of renewable resources including solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, hydrogen fueled, and electrical energy storage technologies.  Our goal is to move our nine campuses toward full energy independence.

An essential element of this program is the adoption of stringent Demand Side Management practices – a committed effort to significantly reduce the energy demand of our campuses operations.

Toward this end, on September 10 and 11, 2008, the Los Angeles Community College District is holding its Demand Side Management Conference.  We have identified companies from the across the state and the nation that are innovators in energy demand-reducing technologies.  We have invited them to present to us about their technology offerings and how they can be used on our campuses.

We would like to invite you to this two-day conference to learn about these innovative technologies.  We hope that this will be an educational event for our energy team, technology partners, and members of the LACCD community, and will move us closer to our goal of energy independence and carbon neutrality.  It will also be a great opportunity to meet and network with leaders in the energy-reduction and renewable energy industries.

We would love to know whether you would like to join us for this exciting conference.  Please RSVP to Amit Thakkar by August 29 at amit.thakkar@build-laccd.orgWe look forward to hearing from you and hope you can join us on September 10 and 11.
