Green Careers Resource Guide Using the O*NET database, the Green Careers Resource Guide identifies a list of 77 green occupations predominately within the science field.  This resource reviews employment statistics for green occupations, including size, median hourly wages, education and training levels, typical career pathways, and ten-year projections.

Community Jobs The clean-energy, “green economy” is now exploding into a billion-dollar sector with more growth predicted.  The national effort to curb global warming and oil dependence can simultaneously create good jobs, safer streets, and healthier communities.  That is the chief moral obligation in the 21st century: to build a green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty.

Green-Collar Jobs in America's Cities, is jointly authored by the Apollo Alliance and Green For All.  The guide focuses on training people to employ in higher wage, family-supporting careers in the new clean, green, energy efficient job sectors.  The guide is accompanied by a second report,

Greener Pathways: Jobs and Workforce Development in the Clean Energy Economy, which explores current economic and workforce development opportunities in the clean energy economy, focusing on three leading industries: energy efficiency, wind, and bio-fuels.

The Next Big Boom This article from Community College Week discusses the potential of clean-and-green industries leading to an explosion of jobs and these jobs would be a prime workforce-training opportunity for community colleges.
